Hans J. Galutera - Co-Founder and Principal MDIA IIDA SBID
Australian native Mr. Galutera brings 16 years of design experience to his projects. Hans spreads his talents far and wide, and not just geographically. He has designed everything from custom lighting fixtures, furniture, decorative hardware which culminates in an extensive knowledge and understanding of architecture and interior design disciplines in hospitality, retail and residential projects.
His love of travel has taken him to all the major cities in Europe and the United States. In London he started his major creative career move as an independent consultant for Harvey Nichols and Harrods. Since his arrival in New York City, Hans has then affiliated himself with various prestigious architectural and interior design firms such as Birch Coffey Design Associates, Daniel Romualdez Architects, S.K. Chow Designs and C.I.T.E. Design.
Hans is directly responsible and oversees all the National Real Estate Development programs in Multi-Housing and Hospitality with major developers such as Roseland Property Co., Renaissance Properties, The Witkoff Group, The Hakimian Organization and AvalonBay Properties. Over the years, his name can be ascribed to projects such as The Vail Athletic Club Hotel and Spa, and the Millennium Series - Penthouse Suites for Celebrity Cruises.
Hans was educated at Monash University and Melbourne College of Decoration in Melbourne, Australia and completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts, Magna Cum Laude, at the Fashion Insitute of Technology. He is a present member of the Design Institute of Australia, Honorary Member of the Society of British Interior Designers and currently serving as one of the Board Directors of.International Interior Design Association of the New York City Chapter.
