Client: Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises Inc. DESIGN Sophisticated European architecture combines with clean tone on tone finishes that respect the rules and modernize without pretense. Stepping inside, the vestibule granite mosaic floor and warm pear wood panels set the scene with the subtle charm and timeless beauty of Venice. From the magnificent Murano chandeliers and high gloss teak woods to etched mirrors complemented by polished nickel and Lucite accents, the room is a delightful blend of tradition with a chic contemporary flair. A magnificent round medallion composed by shades of earthly toned mosaics coordinates with the carpet floor designed to resemble the antique paving of medieval European cities. The feature wall at the aft end of the dining room exhibits a hand applied mural that is full of movement and elegance embedded with whimsical silhouettes in the elaborate art piece. A wine cellar nestled in the dining room displays a colored composition of back lit wine bottles in decorative polished nickel armoires. Well matched dark woods with sleek polished metal insets are combined with a lush palette of red burgundy and striated gold fabrics. This presents a modern yet warm and approachable atmosphere for Vip guests as well as novice and expert connoisseurs. The room inspires to educate and tempt patrons to indulge in the extensive wine collection from all over the world.
